Maker
Niu Fangfang
Niu Fangfang is a contemporary ceramic artist based in Jingdezhen, China.
Her practice explores the relationship between everyday function and artistic expression. She applies silver luster over hand-carved surfaces, creating cool, reflective exteriors often contrasted with warmer glazes within.
Niu Fangfang's work brings together restrained forms, tactile surfaces, and subtle contrasts in material. Over time, the silver naturally oxidizes and changes with touch, becoming both a trace of use and a record of memory.
Care
Yellowing or dark spots may develop over time due to natural silver oxidation. Surface texture and unevenness are part of the hand-carved character.
